Province of Magonsæatan, Concecration of The Court of Five Kings No 199

On Saturday, 1 August 2026, the Consecration of the Court of Five Kings Nº 199 took place at Cardiff Masonic Hall, within the Province of Magonsaetan of the Masonic Order of Athelstan.
The occasion began with an impressive Ceremony of Instruction, followed by the solemn Consecration of the new Court.
The celebrations concluded with a superb Festive Board, enjoyed in the company of brethren and friends from across the Welsh Masonic Provinces.

The name Five Kings commemorates the Five Welsh rulers who, according to tradition, acknowledged the overlordship of King Athelstan during the tenth century.
Their historic meeting symbolised unity, cooperation and mutual respect – values that remain central to our Order today.
A principal aim behind the formation of the Court is to unite brethren from the Masonic Provinces of Monmouthshire, North Wales, South Wales and West Wales, strengthening friendship and companionship while creating new opportunities for younger and newer members to enjoy their Masonic journey together.

It was a memorable day celebrating the foundation of a new Court and another inspiring example of Welsh Freemasonry working together in harmony.
We extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Officers and brethren of the Court of Five Kings Nº 199, and wish the Court every success, prosperity and happiness for the future.
In King Athelstan’s name – may the Five Kings stand united for generations to come!
