Province of Brazil, Concecration of Cuiabá Court No 210

On 18 July 2026, in the Orient of Cuiabá, State of Mato Grosso, the historic Foundation of the Court of Cuiabá Nº 210 was held, marking a milestone in the expansion of the Masonic Order of Athelstan in Brazil.
The Court of Cuiabá Nº 210 now officially forms part of The Masonic Order of Athelstan in England, Wales and its Provinces Overseas, being attached to the Province of Brazil and holding its jurisdiction directly from the Order in England, observing its Constitutions, regulations, rituals and historic traditions.

The solemnity was presided over by the Provincial Grand Master of the Province of Brazil, RW Bro Felipe Eduardo Portela de Paulo, on which occasion the ceremonies of Instruction, Installation and Consecration of the new Court were performed according to the ancient traditions of the Order, with W Bro Sandro Gonçalves as Primus Master.
During the Ceremony, the Provincial Grand Master conferred important honorific distinctions.
The Grand Master of the Grand Orient of the State of Mato Grosso, W Bro Josué Paulo Fernandes, was honoured with the Rank of Past Provincial Senior Grand Deacon, in recognition of his distinguished career and the notable services rendered to the Order.
W Bro Rogério Toledo Filho received the Rank of Provincial Grand Guard, likewise in recognition of his dedication and his contribution to the foundation of the Court.

The Ceremony was also marked by many moments of fraternity and institutional recognition, most notably the exchange of mementoes between the Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Felipe Eduardo Portela de Paulo, the Grand Master of the Grand Orient of the State of Mato Grosso, W Bro Josué Paulo Fernandes, and the Primus Master of the Court of Cuiabá Nº 210, W Bro Sandro Gonçalves Delgado, symbolising the firm bonds of friendship and cooperation between the institutions.
Also, highlighting the presence as part of the provincial grand team of W&Em Bro Jorge Henrique, Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Epirito and MWGM of the GLMMM of Espírito Santo.

We further record the participation, as a founder, of the Grand Superintendent of District 55 of the Order of Knights Templar Priests, W Bro Rodrigo Ribeiro Verão, whose presence graced the ceremony, and who is also Past Grand Master of the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of Brazil.
We equally highlight the honourable participation of W Bro Osvaldo Roberto Sobrinho, a historic figure of great significance for the State of Mato Grosso for Brazil and Honorary Grand Master of the Grand Orient of the State of Mato Grosso, who likewise numbers among the founders of the Court.

At the close of the solemnity, the Provincial Grand Master addressed words of welcome to the new members of the Order, thanked all the Brethren involved in organising the foundation for their efforts, and expressed his wishes for the full success of the Court of Cuiabá Nº 210, stressing the importance of preserving the traditions, of fraternity, and of the expansion of the Order of Athelstan in Brazil.
