On Saturday, September 26, after seven months of imposed closure of all Masonic Orders within Greek jurisdiction due to the Covid-19 pandemic, two of the three Courts of the Province of Greece were able to hold emergency meetings. This followed the ruling of the Greek Government defining nine people as a maximum number permissible to be gathered in the same place under the recommended hygiene rules, and with the approval and dispensation of the MW Grand Master of the Masonic Order of Athelstan.
As a result, just nine Brethren were present in the Temple, i.e. the Principal Officers who were to be Invested for the period 2020-2021.
During the works of the English-speaking Sectio Aurea Court No. 125, Brother Panagiotis Masaoutis was Elected and Installed as its Worshipful Master, according to the Ritual as per the Rules of the Order as well as the guidance of the Grand Court, due to the unfavorable circumstances. After the Installation, the Appointment and the Investiture of the new Officers, Brother Emmanuel Fosteris, PProvGGuard, presented the lecture required by the Regulations on the subject "Did Jean Francois Champollion step on the shoulders of giants?".
Following the meeting of the English-speaking Court, the meeting of the Greek-speaking Euclidean Court No. 129 took place, during which Brother Stylianos Markouizos was Installed in the Chair of King Athelstan, and later the Secretary read the speech prepared by RW Bro Konstantinos Politis, GCh, GCAG, PSGW, who was forced to be absent due to the pandemic, on the subject "Perfection Process of the Master Mason".
Due to the circumstances, both Installation ceremonies were carried out by W&Em Bro Eddie Kalogeropoulos, KAG, PGBannerB, PPrGSec, ProvGTreas, assisted by RW Bro Constantin Stephanides, KCAG, ProvGM, WBro Dimitrios Ntokos, KAG, ProvGSec and WBro Nikolaos Stylios, who traveled from Belgium where he resides permanently especially for the meeting of the Sectio Aurea Court No. 125.
